Cody Rhodes WWE
Clash at the Castle
Schwartz noted in the interview that he was searching for a TV premise that would unite disparate characters and force them to interact. He liked the idea of seven people, all from different walks of life, trapped in the same place, trying to form relationships. He thought for a moment that everyone might work in the same office, perhaps, but that wasn’t doable because, well, someone might get fired or merely go home. “Where could they be,” Schwartz asked himself, “where they had to get along with each other?” Is seems that stranding them all on a desert island was the perfect solution.
The “Robinson Crusoe” parallels, he explained, were just a coincidence:
“A lot of people think that I read ‘Robinson Crusoe’ and that’s where I got the idea for ‘Gilligan’s Island.’ Now, it does happen that ‘Robinson Crusoe’ is a favorite book of mine, but that’s not what started it. I think those people who believe that have put the cart before the horse. I was looking for a way that seven people — I don’t know why I fix on the number seven, but that’s what I did — where could they be that they couldn’t leave each other.”
Two sailors, an intellectual, a farmgirl, two millionaires, and an actor. That was Schwartz’s ensemble. The sailors, it seems, would necessarily have to be the final characters to enter the equation, as they would be carried along with the premise. The character work was conceived of first. That means Gilligan himself the last one to join Schwartz’s ensemble. Or perhaps the Skipper. Which was a good thing because, as “Weird Al” Yankovic once sang, I’m ‘n Love (wit da Skipper).
Doctor Who Actor From Classic Era Responds To Villain Return After 48 Years: “Big Surprise”
Summary
Russell T Davies confirms Sutekh’s final fate in Doctor Who
season 14 finale.
Davies firmly states that Sutekh is truly dead this time.
Russell T Davies addresses the final fate of Sutekh following Doctor Who‘s season 14 finale. Having made his debut during Tom Baker’s tenure as the Fourth Doctor, Sutekh stood the test of time as one of the Doctor’s most notable one-off villains due to his terrifying power and Gabriel Woolf’s performance. In season 14’s two-part finale, it was revealed that Sutekh had been playing a long game to exact vengeance on the Time Lord.
With Doctor Who season 14’s finale seeing Sutekh cast into the Time Vortex once more, Davies revealed during the commentary for “Empire of Death” whether he could make a return. The showrunner firmly stated that Sutekh was killed by his latest banishment. Check out Davies’ explanation below:
“And he finally, finally dies. It’s a great death shot. Watch this now, Bonnie, because as I said, he’s got to absolutely die this time. Never coming back. Gone.”
This is a developing story…

Using an interdimensional time-traveling ship known as the TARDIS, the Doctor travels time and space with various companions as they solve multiple problems and help avert catastrophe as much as they almost cause it. Duff McKagan‘s responding to “The Simpsons” name controversy … saying he really doesn’t care even if they did use his name — but, he still thinks the connection’s obvious.
We caught up with Guns N’ Roses rocker in L.A. Friday and asked him about OG ‘Simpsons’ writer-producer Jay Kogen telling us the show’s premier beer — Duff — isn’t named for him … instead, it’s named after dude’s who just sit on their butts and drink beer all day long.
DM tells us he thinks it’s super funny the show’s creators are all in a tizzy over his claims … adding they’re all protesting jway too much.
McKagan says he’s never treated the name controversy as a big deal … and, he’s doubling down on that here — telling us he really isn’t concerned about whether or not they used his name for the cartoon.
Cameron Young broke 60 on Saturday in the third round of the Travelers Championship, becoming the 12th PGA player to do so.
It’s the 13th sub-60 in PGA history, as Jim Furyk has done it twice, including an all-time-low 58 at the same tournament in 2016.

Young’s 59 was 11-under par – he entered the clubhouse with a share of the lead after trailing by 11.
The 59-watch was on early, as Young got off to a birdie-birdie-eagle-birdie start, holing out from 142 yards on the par-four third hole. He closed out his front nine with back-to-back birdies, entering the turn with a 28.
He cooled off for a bit, but arguably his best shot of the day was on the driveable par-four on 15, where he drove the green and was just four feet from the pin. He knocked in the easy eagle to move to 10-under on the day.
Young had a nine-foot par putt for history, and he slid it in the backdoor for the low score.

SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER SHARES SWEET SURPRISE WITH PGA TOUR FANS WAITING OVER AN HOUR TO MEET HIM
In all, it was nine pars, seven birdies, two eagles, and zero bogeys, en route to making 115 feet worth of putts.
It’s the first 59 on tour since Scottie Scheffler did so at the 2020 Northern Trust at TPC Boston, but the seventh sub-60 in all pro tours this year.
Those include a 59 by Joaquin Niemann on LIV Golf and a record-tying 57 by Cristobal del Solar on the Korn Ferry Tour in Bogota, Colombia.
Young was able to lift, clean and place his golf ball in the short grass because of soggy course conditions and the potential of more rain.
He could have gone even lower. After his eagle on the 15th hole, Young hit his tee shot to 7 feet on the par-3 16th and missed the short birdie putt.

With retired players like Tom Brady and Jason Kelce set to call games in 2024, here’s three current players we hope to see as NFL announcers.
Gardner Minshew (QB) Las Vegas Raiders
Can anyone think of a reason to keep Minshew out of the broadcast booth? Not only has he been sporting the same Uncle Rico-inspired look since his days at Washington State, but he recently channeled the character on media day for his team’s photo shoot.
He may never throw a football over a mountain, but 59 touchdowns in 37 starts are pretty sweet, as are his 9,937 passing yards. For the record, that’s 5,833 more yards than Amazon Prime analyst Ryan Fitzpatrick had in his first five seasons.
Minshew came off the bench to win his first Pro Bowl nomination with the Colts last year and likely drove his 2011 Acura to the event. At 28-years-old, he still drives the car he received from his parents as a high school graduation gift before buying (and living) in an old prison bus while playing for the Eagles in 2022.
Personality aside, Minshew learned his football from the late Mike Leach, himself a colorful character as head coach of three college teams. A natural in front of the camera, Minshew’s learning curve won’t be so steep with the media.
Kirk Cousins (QB) Atlanta Falcons
Who doesn’t love an underdog? After 39,471 career yards, it’s easy to forget that Cousins was drafted in the fourth round in 2012 to back up Robert Griffin III. With a four-year, $180M contract from the Falcons in his pocket and $232M in career earnings, Cousins certainly doesn’t need the money, but he’d be great calling NFL games.
Most don’t know that Cousins actually worked as a color analyst for the Big Ten Network during Michigan State’s Green-White spring games from 2013-15. But who can forget his shirtless dance on the team plane in 2022 and the encore performance prior to last year’s Vikings-Packers game on New Year’s Eve.
After 12 years in the league, there’s not much the 35-year-old quarterback hasn’t seen. Assuming he conforms to the dress code, he’d fit perfectly in the booth or on the sidelines.
Travis Kelce (TE) Kansas City Chiefs
While not nearly as affable as his older brother, Kelce is certainly no stranger to the spotlight after hosting “Saturday Night Live” and dating the planet’s most recognizable pop star. Without Taylor Swift, Kelce would still have nine Pro Bowls, four All-Pro nominations and three Super Bowl championships on his resume.
On a recent episode of the “New Heights” podcast he co-hosts with his brother, Kelce said he wants to work in broadcasting so badly, he’d turn down an ownership stake in a team in order to do so.
Of course the 11-year veteran just signed a two-year, $34M contract extension to become the highest-paid tight end in NFL history, which means we’ll have to wait to get Kelce in the booth.
Venha a próxima cadeira.
Busca no exterior
Saturday’s third UEFA Euro 2024 fixture sees Belgium looking to bounce back from their shock opening match defeat as they take on Romania in this crucial Group E contest.
Despite an array of talent at coach Domenico Tedesco’s disposal, including Kevin de Bruyne, Leandro Trossard and Romelu Lukaku, the Red Devils were nevertheless left stunned on Monday after crashing to a 1-0 defeat to tournament outsiders Slovakia.
They now come up against a Romania side that appears more than capable of inflicting another shock result, with Edward Iordănescu’s side impressing in their assured 3-0 win over Ukraine in their opening match.
Belgium play Romania on Saturday, June 22, at Cologne Stadium. Kickoff is set for 9 p.m. CET local time in Germany, making it a 8 p.m. BST start in the UK. In the US and Canada it’s a 3 p.m. ET or 12 p.m. PT start, while the game gets underway at 5 a.m. AEST in Australia on Sunday.
Below, we’ll outline the best live TV streaming services to use to watch the game as it happens, wherever you are in the world.
How to watch Belgium vs. Romania in the US without cable
This match is set to be shown live on Fox in the US. The majority of Euro 2024 games will be shown on either Fox or FS1, but there are a handful of group stage matches that’ll be shown exclusively on Fubo.
A Fubo Pro Plan will give you access to those five group stage matches, as well as all of Fox’s and FS1’s coverage.
Fubo
Fubo’s Pro Plan costs $80 per month and gives you 121 channels, including Fox and FS1, while also offering you access to the five Euro 2024 group-stage games exclusively streaming on the service.
If you don’t have Fox and FS1 as part of your cable lineup, both can be streamed via Sling TV.
Sling TV’s Blue plan includes Fox and FS1, making it a great option for those wanting to watch international soccer action. It’s $40 a month ($45 in some places) and features over 40 channels, including other sports channels like ESPN.
How to watch every Euro 2024 game online from anywhere using a VPN
If you find yourself unable to view Euro 2024 matches locally, you may need a different way to watch the tournament — that’s where using a VPN can come in handy. A VPN is also the best way to stop your ISP from throttling your speeds on game day by encrypting your traffic, and it’s also a great idea if you’re traveling and find yourself connected to a Wi-Fi network, and you want to add an extra layer of privacy for your devices and logins.
With a VPN, you’re able to virtually change your location on your phone, tablet or laptop to get access to the game. Most VPNs, like our Editors’ Choice, ExpressVPN, make it really easy to do this.
Using a VPN to watch or stream sports is legal in any country where VPNs are legal, including the US, UK and Canada, as long as you have a legitimate subscription to the service you’re streaming. You should be sure your VPN is set up correctly to prevent leaks: Even where VPNs are legal, the streaming service may terminate the account of anyone it deems to be circumventing correctly applied blackout restrictions.

How to watch every Euro 2024 game online from anywhere using a VPN
With four variables at play — your ISP, browser, video streaming provider and VPN — your experience and success when streaming European Championship matches may vary.
If you don’t see your desired location as a default option for ExpressVPN, try using the “search for city or country” option.
If you’re having trouble getting the game after you’ve turned on your VPN and set it to the correct viewing area, there are two things you can try for a quick fix. First, log into your streaming service subscription account and make sure the address registered for the account is an address in the correct viewing area. If not, you may need to change the physical address on file with your account. Second, some smart TVs — like Roku — don’t have VPN apps you can install directly on the device itself. Instead, you’ll have to install the VPN on your router or the mobile hotspot you’re using (like your phone) so that any device on its Wi-Fi network now appears in the correct viewing location.
All of the VPN providers we recommend have helpful instructions on their main site for quickly installing the VPN on your router. In some cases with smart TV services, after you install a cable network’s sports app, you’ll be asked to verify a numeric code or click a link sent to your email address on file for your smart TV. This is where having a VPN on your router will also help since both devices will appear to be in the correct location.
And remember, browsers can often give away a location despite using a VPN, so be sure you’re using a privacy-first browser to log into your services. We normally recommend Brave.
The Los Angeles Lakers officially hired JJ Redick as their next head coach earlier this week and their choice has a lot of people talking.
Some feel he’s too fresh and inexperienced and others believe he will be just what the Lakers need.
Speaking to Jason Timpf, via The Volume, Jovan Buha spoke about why the Lakers decided to go with Redick.
He said Redick pitched himself as someone ready for the moment and free of past coaching philosophies that might not work in Los Angeles.
Finally, he was able to sell himself because of his communication skills and his “ability to effectively communicate with the players and command the locker room.”
“His communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with the players and command the locker room”
Buha mentioned that the last two head coaches in Los Angeles have lost the faith of their players.
When a coach is no longer truly in command of the locker room, they have no chance of leading a team.
Redick might have more luck because not only did he play in the league but he knows many of these players personally, including LeBron James.
Plus, his years of broadcasting have given him impressive communication skills.
That means that he will be able to work out problems with players, relay his plans, and adjust via conversation and collaboration.
This could be a great thing for the Lakers, who sometimes look dysfunctional and out of sync with one another.
Redick’s inexperience is still troubling for many LA fans but he could win them over with big wins and a clear understanding of how to help the team get on track.
